Powerhouse Month!
All planets are direct this month and there is the powerful energy of moving forward. April is a month of movement, new beginnings bringing a new awareness. Ketu changes Nakshatras which is all about letting go of the old identity.
March 28 – December 5: Ketu Transit in Magha Nakshatra After 18 years Ketu re-enters Magha Nakshatra. Magha is represented by a throne and ruled by Ketu, the South Node. Ketu is about detachment, suppression and leaving behind material things. Ketu is the planet of Moksha, spiritual liberation. It pushes us towards spiritual pursuits, mysticism, and detachment from worldly illusions. It is about the search for the ultimate truth. Ketu brings unconventional experiences but through the path of introspection and often withdrawal. Ketu leads us to let go of old patterns and attachments to move forward on our evolutionary path.
Ketu in the Nakshatra Magha, is a particularly potent placement because Magha is an ancestral Nakshatra, and Ketu itself signifies past lives and ancestors. This is a HUGE amplification of Ketu’s energy, as it’s in its own Nakshatra).
This time period will bring a challenge to global leaders and some form of global reset. Destruction of the old patterns, old egoist governments fall and new systems come into play. Belief systems begin to change. Moving towards spirituality as Ketu destroys the ego.
April 1: Pink Full Moon in Virgo in the Nakshatra Hastra
Time to release old identities! This Moon is aspected by a Sun – Saturn Conjunction in Pisces, creating a powerful time for personal transformation and letting go. The theme will be around introspection, letting go of old roles and cleaning up one’s life routines.
Virgo is a healing sign and this Full Moon illuminates areas of your health or daily life that require attention and healing.
Additionally, the Moon will be alone with Ketu in the 12th house, making this a powerful time to reconnect with the Divine. This represents time to go within, although possibly bringing up a lonely feeling—which will pass, it is time to go inward.
Nakshatra Hasta is ruled by the Moon, making the emotional energy incredibly strong. This enhances sensitivity but also brings great potential for emotional self-mastery.
Nakshatra Hasta is symbolized by a hand indicating craftmanship, working with your hands, skills, innate talents. This Full Moon provides the “power to place into the hand,” meaning it is a potent time for achieving tangible results through your diligent efforts, particularly in service-oriented tasks, health regimens or analytical work.
April 2 – May 11: Mars Transits in Pisces
Pisces softens Mars however, being in Pisces, can bring problems with water, major storms and severe weather in April. Particularly between April 10-29 as Mercury is debilitated in Pisces which will stir up storms and water problems.

April 10-August 1: Kala Amrita Yoga
Kala Amrita Yoga occurs when all seven planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn) are positioned between Ketu (the tail) and Rahu (the head) in their natural zodiacal motion. This is distinct from Kala Sarpa Yoga, where all planets are positioned between Rahu and Ketu
Spiritual Focus: Unlike Kala Sarpa, which often promotes material gains (materialistic life), Kala Amrita Yoga is considered to put an individual on a path toward spirituality, liberation, and non-attachment.
Karmic Significance: It is associated with breaking social norms and seeking freedom for the world, though it can create immense mental restlessness.
April 13: Mars Conjuncts Neptune at 8 degrees Pisces
Neptune blurs the boundaries and with Mars weakened in Pisces can bring confusion in decision making and in public affairs. Neptune rules oil and gas and this can bring situations and problems with oil and gas. Also, severe weather.
April 14—May 14: Sun Transits Aries
A very powerful time as the Sun enters its sign of exaltation in Aries. There will be a surge of vitality and self-assertion. Life force will feel renewed. This energy brings a strong sense of self along with courage and self-confidence.
April 16: Mercury Conjuncts Neptune at 8 degrees
This signals a time where global communication and collective thought will be deeply influenced by spiritual ideals, pervasive illusion, or profound confusion. While offering immense potential for inspired artistic expression, heightened spiritual awareness, and universal compassion, it also carries a significant risk of widespread misinformation, deceptive narratives, and a blurring of the lines between truth and fantasy within media, technology, and collective consciousness. April 17: New Moon 4 Degrees Aries – in Nakshatra Ashwini
Ashwini is the first of the 27 Nakshatras (Lunar Mansions) and ruled by Ketu. It’s symbolized by a horse’s head and represents the Ashwini Kumaras, the Divine Twin Physicians. It signifies speed, healing and vitality.
This is a time to make fast progress and moving forward. Ashwini deals with the healers to the Gods. Set your crystals out for this one particularly for healing. This New Moon is about new beginnings.
April 19—May 14: Venus Transits Taurus with Exalted Moon
Venus enters its own sign of rulership, enhancing material comforts, luxury, artistic pursuits and love. The presence of the exalted Moon in Taurus during this Transit amplifies these effects, creating a dep sense of emotional satisfaction, grounding and material prosperity.
April 19 – 20: Exact Conjunction with Mars, Saturn and Mercury in the Nakshatra Uttara Bhadrapada
Mercury represents travel, communications and decision making. In Pisces, it is debilitated making this very challenging to see thing straight. Mars is fiery, impulsive, courageous, aggressive, assertive, decisive. In Pisces, Mars is confused and misdirected. Saturn In Pisces seeks structure and can bring karmic spiritual lessons. In addition, this is close to the Rahu Ketu degree which intensifies the situation.
Uttara Bhadrapada is represented by a funeral cot and is referred to as the Star of Wisdom, symbolizing a soul that has completed a first phase of spiritual transformation.
