Shifts & Transformation

The energy of October ushers in many twists and with the purpose of significant transformation. Highlights include Rahu-Saturn Conjunction, a Saturn-Sun Opposition, Pluto Stationing Direct, Mars Transiting into Scorpio Squaring Rahu and a potent contrast between Jupiter’s brief exaltation in Cancer with the Sun’s debility in Libra. All these aspects challenge us to seek balance and find clarity through deep introspection.

Additionally, we will be feeling the impact of the September 21, 2025, Solar Eclipse in Virgo for the next few months as we begin major resets in routines. Feeling like a sudden AHA MOMENT, we will feel the need to make changes in our professional and personal life, leading to decluttering and a departure of old habits and inefficient systems. For months, the lingering energy effect will call for “grown-up decision-making” and a realistic evaluation of goals.

September 17 – October 17: Saturn Sun Opposition
Saturn in Pisces and the Sun in Virgo could strengthen global leaders. This transit can bring pressure, delays, and conflict, highlighting the need for patience, acceptance of responsibility, and steady effort for personal growth. The Sun-Saturn opposition, where Earth is between the Sun and Saturn, placing Saturn on the opposite side of the Sun and making it brightly visible. In Vedic astrology, this alignment is interpreted as a period of tension between the ego (Sun) and responsibility (Saturn), especially when the opposition occurs with Saturn in the zodiac sign of Pisces and the Sun in Virgo.

October 3 – 24: Mercury Transits Libra
Communication along with diplomacy will be highlighted. Mercury in Libra will sharpen communication in relationships, negotiations, and diplomacy. Expect discussions around fairness and agreements to be highlighted.

October 4 – November 24: Rahu-Saturn Conjunction
It’s back!  Formed earlier in 2025 (March 30 to May 30 with both planets in Pisces) but this time the difficult aspect occurs when Rahu (the North Node of the Moon) and Saturn are Conjunct in the same Nakshatra but different signs (Rahu in Aquarius and Saturn in Pisces). Both will be in the Nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada, which is a fierce Nakstratra of deep purification, confronting challenging truths. The dual nature of Aquarius and Pisces lends itself to both humanistic and spiritual endeavors, driving transformation through disciplined work.

This combination is considered challenging because it blends Rahu’s obsessive, illusionary, and materialistic energy with Saturn’s restrictive, karmic, and disciplinary nature. The Conjunction will bring hidden issues to the surface, confronting past experiences or problems that had been suppressed.  Globally, this energy reactivates themes of unrest and tension.

October 6: Full Moon in Pisces in Nakshatra Revati
Pisces is the last sign in the Zodiac and Revati is the last Nakshatra of zodiac which brings endings and completions before a new beginning. General themes of the Revati full moon emphasize endings and moving forward. It is a time to release old patterns, beliefs, and emotional baggage that no longer serve you. Revati is deeply associated with spiritual depth and unconditional love. The moon’s energy during this period can facilitate emotional healing and encourage a compassionate, surrendering approach to life’s challenges.

The Full Moon occurs at the final Gandanta point between the water sign Pisces and the fire sign Aries. This zone represents a potent transition, where symbolic death of the old paving the way for new beginnings.

Go ahead and put out your crystals for cleansing. To honor this potent energy, journal, light a candle, meditate. Spend time around water and or take a relaxing bath.

Today is also the harvest festival known as Sharad Purnima and is dedicated to Lakshmi, the Goddess of spiritual and material prosperity.

October 13: PLUTO DIRECT @ 7 degrees Capricorn
This signifies the end of Pluto’s Retrograde and the start of forward motion. As a powerful planet of death and rebirth, it brings out qualities of transformation. Pluto Direct will continue to have strong impact on the United States over the next few years for major transformation and evolution. Pluto is the planet of extremes and linked to power and control. Moving direct signals, a new phase for taking empowered action.

October 17 — November 15: Sun Transits into Libra
Libra is the sign of the Sun’s debilitation, where it doesn’t have as much confidence. This can lead to challenges with ego and authority bringing ad diminished sense of power and potential frustration particularly with leaders. Partnerships and diplomacy will be highlighted.

October 18 – December 4: Jupiter Enters Cancer 
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and brings a renewed optimism. Spirituality, wisdom, fostering positive emotions are highlighted. This positive planetary movement can provide a mitigating counterbalance of the intensity around the world and can bring breakthroughs in diplomacy.

October 21: New Moon in Libra in the Nakshatra Chitra
This New Moon wants to bring peace and justice. This is an ideal time to set new intentions and plant your seeds for the future. Introspection and reflection are highlighted. Chitra means brilliant or shining and the energy helps you turn life’s chaos into a work of polished beauty through hard work and determination.

At the same time Mars will exactly Conjunct Mercury which deals with communications and anger, hostile exchanges of information and communications.

October 24: November 23 Mercury Transits Scorpio
Sharp intellect, uncovered secrets, determined ambition. Potential for intense communication and emotional reactions. Mercury will Retrograde on November 10.

October27 — December 8: Mars Transits into Scorpio and SQUARES RAHU in Aquarius
An intense energy that can cause global unrest, cyber warfare, and social movements. This is a sensitive time as Scorpio represents transformation, secrets, research, hidden grudges, and Mars is the planet of aggression and dominance, armed forces, weapons, violence. When Mars enters Scorpio, it becomes strategic and transformative and brings control, psychological warfare, spies, espionage. As it aspects Rahu it brings social movements. Rahu is a rebel and does not follow tradition and instead rebellion bringing social change and large-scale protests. Old systems will dissolve. Violence can increase.
